Paul Ballard is our Senior Pastor. He has been with North Trenholm since 1999. He graduated from Wofford College in 1985 and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1989. In 2004, he earned his Doctor of Ministry from Columbia International University. He has served in Eutawville, SC and Charlotte, NC prior to being called to North Trenholm. Paul’s interests include reading, sports, and jogging. He and his wife, Libbie, have two children: Lauren and Matthew.

Phillip Gerrald joined our staff in 2001 as Minister of Education. He is a graduate from the University of South Carolina with his BS in Marketing and Management in 1981, and in 1996 from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Arts in Religious Education. Phillip previously served in Morristown, TN. He and his wife, Susie, have three sons: Will (25), Travis (22), and Nic (19). Phillip's hobbies include tennis, running and raising Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.

Danny Wilson is our Minister of Students. He graduated in 1991 with his BA degree from Wingate University, and obtained his Masters of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1995. He served in Charlotte, NC and Bogalusa, LA prior to joining our staff in 1995. He enjoys sports, jogging, spending time with family, and teenagers. His wife, Kellie, is also actively involved with the Youth Ministry. They have a daughter, Brooke.

Joe Copeland is our Senior Adult Pastor. He obtained his Bachelors in Sociology from Valdosta State University in 1976, and his Masters of Divinity from Columbia International University in 1979. Joe enjoys coaching baseball, sports, and spending time with his family. He and his wife, Martha, have 5 children: Sam, Paul, Anna, Andrew, and Caleb.

T. Michael (Mike) Childs joined the church staff in 2003 as Business Administrator. A graduate of The Citadel with a bachelors in English, Mike also holds a Master of Science degree in Business and Human Relations. A twenty-year veteran of the Army, he also has five years experience in state government as a Director of Planning and five years in the medical field as a practice administrator. His wife Deb teaches 6th Grade Math at Blythewood Middle School. Mike and Deb have been members of North Trenholm since 1993.

Teresa Pruitt joined our staff in 2001 as Director of Weekday Education. She graduated from USC in 1974 with a BA in Education. Teresa previously taught in Richland District II for 10 years. She and her husband Luke have two sons, Jamie, 29 and Jeff, 27. Teresa's hobbies include walking, reading and watching sports.

Melody Morris is our Director of Preschool Ministries. A native of Columbia, she graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1980. She attended Columbia College and Morehead State University. Melody was the Mother's Morning Out coordinator prior to her present position. She has been a member at NTBC since 1973. She lives with her husband, Tom, and their two children, Kristen and Kayla. Her hobbies and interests include family outings, horses, music and hand bells.

Louis King is our Sports Outreach Coordinator. He and his wife Sharon have been members of the church for the past 9 years and have seven children. Louis teaches our Sixth Grade Boys Connection Class and Sharon helps out in the Nursery every Sunday morning. Louis has been active in the Sports outreach ministry during all his years at the church. |

Kathy Miles joined our staff as Director of Children's Ministries in November 2006. Kathy has been a member of NTBC since 1977. She has a BS in Education from Winthrop University and Master degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina. She and her husband, Jim, have five children: Meredith, Zachary, Colin, Garrett, and Hannah.
