Last Sunday, we revealed to you our EDGE emphasis. EDGE stands for Every Disciple Growing Externally. The response from the Sunday morning message was positive and overwhelming.
Sunday night something special happened. Exciting ideas were shared. People’s passions were revealed. Some people became vulnerable and I saw the body of Christ support each other and pray for each other. It was wonderful.
Monday morning the leadership team met and debriefed. We sensed God telling us to make an adjustment. Even though we are less than two weeks away from Sunday evening activities, we have shifted or canceled all Sunday evening Adult Discipleship courses.
We are going to gather at 4:00 PM every Sunday night in September and have a focused time of prayer. The prayer time will focus on renewal in the body and guiding North Trenholm as we go to the EDGE.
We will still have Power Jam (children’s choir). Student Choir will be delayed until 5:00 PM so the teenagers can pray with us.
Church, I am excited. I believe this is from the Lord, and I can’t wait to see what He is going to do! Join me Sunday, September 7, for the second message in the EDGE emphasis and at 4:00 PM as together we ask God for guidance and specific direction.
